Fits your helmet in 60 seconds. Here's exactly how.
In this short video, we show you how to snap the ShadyRider brim onto your cycling helmet in under 60 seconds — no tools needed. The patented 7-snap system works with most standard road, mountain, and commuter helmets. Swap lenses in seconds for any riding condition.
How to install your ShadyRider in 5 steps — brim position is upside down
Loosen your helmet straps first. Loosen the side cinch or tightening strap — your helmet will not fit as the factory setting is fully tightened.
Slide the helmet under the visor lip. Hold the brim on its side or back edge and use your other hand to slide the front of your helmet under the lip of the visor. You may need to align the front edge and tuck it under. Works with most standard road, mountain, and commuter helmets.
Flip and secure the back brim. Once the helmet front is fully under the visor lip, grab the back of your ShadyRider brim. Flip the assembly over and use your free hand to securely hold and slide the back brim down firmly — as close to the helmet edge as possible.
Tuck and tighten. Tuck in any exposed inside tightening band, then tighten your side cinch strap. The rear adjustment lets you raise the rear brim as you wish or leave it semi-loose.
You're done. Ride shady.
Will it fit my helmet?
The ShadyRider uses a 7-snap system that fits most standard cycling helmets. If your helmet has a smooth rim or open vents at the front edge, it will work. Not designed for full-face or extreme sport helmets. Still not sure? Email us at info@theshadyrider.com and we'll confirm before you order.
